A few weeks ago, I was in Corvallis visiting friends, and despite our recent failure to hang out – my friend Jessica and I spent almost a whole half of a day together. We decided we’d do a shoot. Below are a few images from the 15 shots (one roll of film) we took on that day. I scanned the negatives and then digitally manipulated them.
This was the first images taken in the shoot, capturing the two most interesting things in the room – her and her shadow. The rest of the images build off of that.
I think this is where she smiled and said, “This is very Stieglitz of us.”
After she said that, I instantly thought of Stieglitz’s photo of O’Keeffe’s neck. This was the second to last photo on the roll.
