Smoke & Mirrors II

 

Another digital drawing. You can see a little of my process in the lines that look like ripples off of the figure. I don’t use any visual reference for these, and draw with my mouse (which can be frustrating), so what seems to happen is that I start off drawing something much larger than the final product. Some of the features are pieced together from random lines in an effort to not draw the same looking thing every time; sometimes it’s a cheek bone, or a shoulder, or an eye, or a combination of things, but with this one the whole drawing was built around what I thought looked like an up-turned angle of a chin.
